I am lucky enough to be part of a fabulous book club. All the women in the book club are wonderful and it is an eclectic mix of strong-minded, independent, smart ladies. I’m a voracioius reader and eater, so our last book club I just had to write about since it was so chic.
Our end of year book club was hosted by my friend Michelle Ritchie who is the CEO of the new online artisanal food store, Delicious Karma. So she came up with the idea of inviting two of her favorite writer/chefs to the soiree’ and have them demonstrate some of their favorite recipes from their new cookbooks! The cookbooks chosen were a great read, very visual and enticing the first one was mac&cheese please! and Grilled Cheese Please both written by Laura Wrelin. I”m a cheese fanatic her recipes were easy to replicate and mouth savory. She has lots of new ideas of how to enhance the basic grilled cheese or mac&cheese.
LOOK at this GORGEOUS mac and cheese dish! Love the homemade breadcrumb topping! DELICIOUS!
The second book was written and by the famous sausage guru Bruce Aidell- our guys just loved this. The bible that every person should have in their kitchen is The Great Meat Cookbook. Gorgeous!
