Friday Fall Fashion Favorite: Women’s Color Palette 2012
While you are sitting on the beach right now, retailers have the new Fall collections on their floor.
Seems crazy, the fashion cycle works so fast and is out of sync with when a consumer actually buys for the season and when it becomes available. As I’ve mentioned before, Fall magazines are also hitting the newsstands now.
Just to inspire you, I’d like to share Pantone’s Fall Fashion Women’s Color 2012 report with you and some of my favorite designer picks.
Pantone is the ultimate authority on color. Every designer looks to Pantone for color direction. The color palette is indicative of the social, economic, political, and overall zeitgeist. For fashion it is predicted usually 6-8 months in advance. For other categories such as cars- the color palatte can be determined up to 5 years in advance. Beauty and fashion color trends tend to mirror each other.

Personally, i love the olympian blue. Blue rules for Fall, due to the olympics and the upcoming collection.
The hot color for both Spring and Fall is fun and great as an accent, Tangerine Tango.

The new neutral is Pink Flambe, god i just love that name too!

Titanium is the new grey. It’s a bit more modern and technology has influenced this color.

And with global warming and everything eco, Ultramarine Green is prominent throughout the Fall collections.
